FRESH PRODUCE ON YOUR COUNTERTOP

Refrigeration may alter the taste of fresh produce. Some fruits and vegetables are best placed at room temperature. Consume within a few days for optimum taste and freshness.

-   Place them uncovered in a fruit bowl on countertops or in perforated plastic bags, away from direct sunlight.

Tomato retains its flavour and does not become mushy at room temperature, unlike a refrigerated tomato.
Melon flesh turns slightly rubbery upon refrigeration. Placing it on countertop retains its crisp quality.
Recommended fruits and vegetables to be placed on countertops: melon, orange, grapefruit, lemon, avocado, apple, pumpkin, tomato, and pepper.
